8 Most Often Asked Questions

We been planning and doing ceremonies for a long time. We love the excitement, the love that is in the air and the anticipation of the day. When talking to couples, I always provide answers to questions that they ask. Here are the top 8.

  1. Do we have to get the marriage license? The answer to this is yes. There is information that is asked on the marriage license application, that I cannot answer. It is private information – like date of birth, address etc.
  2. Do we have to get a marriage license in the county we are getting married in? For the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin, no you do not. You can get the marriage license from any county/court office and it will be good for any location in each state.
  3. Can a license I have for Minnesota be used in Wisconsin or another state? Simple answer is No. There are a few exceptions to this in some of the southern states, but getting married in Minnesota or Wisconsin you need license issued by the state you are getting married in.
  4. Do we need a rehearsal? If you really need one, we can provide one. Micro Weddings are smaller and often does not have a wedding party. Your coordinator and/or Offiiciant will be there early. Every detail will be reviewed prior.
  5. What if I don’t want a religious ceremony? It’s your ceremony which is customized to you. Want to sing a song? You got it. What Bon Jovi or Star Wars theme playing? No problem. Want to use Light Sabers and walk in with them? What an awesome thought! We are all in and will happy to help you plan this.
  6. Can I have my pets at my ceremony? We love animals! Of course you can
  7. We have no idea of where to get married at – Can you help? Absolutely! We have many locations and suggestions and will help you narrow it down. We know the area well.
